The Saltings’ interior is as equally as impressive, with a large open-plan kitchen, lounge and dining area the perfect sociable space for a large group to come together. The pièce de résistance – the double height ceiling over the banquet-style 18-seat dining suite, with those perfect picture windows flooding the downstairs with natural light and country views. While the word ‘cottage’ doesn’t seem to do justice to this impressive architecture, The Saltings retains its rustic charm with stone-flagged floors and exposed oak beams making the most of its original features. Here six ensuite rooms provide a welcome refuge for even large groups to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of this idyllic corner of Kent....
Upon entering The Saltings you’ll soon see that you have everything you need for an easy and affable escape. To the right your comfy lounge area comprises a u-shaped huddle of sofas, easily seating a large group looking for feet-up relaxed chat, or a bit of TV down time around the 42” flatscreen TV, with with Freeview.
Opening up into a well-equipped kitchen, you’ve all the mod cons needed to make any self-catering stay a breeze, including a large American-style fridge freezer and dishwasher at the ready.
To the left, the dining suite sits underneath an impressive overhead walkway and double height ceiling. A chandelier adds understated elegance to the cottage’s natural ambience and rustic charm. With stone flagged floors, warm woods and exposed beams, The Saltings is every bit the quintessential country cottage, yet with all the modern comforts and superior style you’d want of a holiday home from home.
You will also have access to the Mocketts Farm shared games room and 2 acre dog exercise paddock**, while just down the road is our award winning country restaurant and massage treatment rooms, The Ferry House. This is the perfect spot to unwind, dine, walk the Kitchen Garden and take in our beautiful waterside views on a relaxed country cottage escape.
