Country Cottage Landscape

The Mocketts Farm Cottages are a hideaway cluster of converted farm buildings - and what better base for a country cottage escape than a working farm? Stunningly set, each cottage benefits from country views at every door and window. Landscapes change with the seasons; spring charactersied by yellow rapeseed flowers in bloom, while summer brings swaying green grains ripening to gold in harvest season. In winter the river estuary and wetlands are blessed with low, rolling sea mists that bring ethereal vibes to the fields and grasslands.

Country Walks & Trails

Your own two feet are the best way to explore and enjoy nature’s playground around these country cottages. A number of beautiful walking and cycling trails take you through the heart of the countryside, wetlands and to Kent’s nearby Blue Flag Coastline.

Country Dining

What’s a country cottage holiday without a country pub? Just a 10 minute stroll from the Mocketts Farm Cottages you’ll discover The Ferry House, our country restaurant. Here our large Kitchen Garden yields an enormous variety of homegrown produce, with beef from our family farm grazed on the neighbouring Elmley Nature Reserve, and game from our family shoot on the Harty estate. A true taste of the Kent landscape around these country cottages.

Wildlife

We are blessed with the abundance of wildlife that surrounds the Cottages. A unique habitat combining countryside and coast has made Harty in Kent home to half of the UK's Harrier population, as well as many other birds of prey, game birds, water birds and migratory species, not to mention the many farm and country creatures found among the fields and hedgerows.

Reviews

“Stayed here many times before, so peaceful. Wildlife everywhere, very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Great for a recharge and relax, or to use as a base to explore Kent. Would recommend to everyone but would like to keep it to myself as a beautifully quiet secret. Nearest local restaurant is 10 minutes walk away, 5 star food and all locally sourced. Me and my family will stay again.”
