Marsh View

  • 4 Bedrooms Sleeps 8+
  • 3 Bathrooms
  • Dog Friendly
  • Accessible Accommodation

Marsh View’s finest feature comes in the form of its footprint – its extensive length and carefully positioned windows opening up every inch of the beautiful surrounding countryside views.

Inside, rustic charm meets modern comfort. Think stone-flagged floors, exposed beams and warm woods, lifted with bright, fresh decor and colourful touches of contemporary art. Natural light pours in, creating a calm and welcoming space for families, friends, or anyone seeking a peaceful rural escape....

Two ensuite bedrooms sit on the ground floor – one with an accessible wet room, making this a great option for multigenerational stays or guests with mobility needs. Upstairs, you’ll find two more generously sized bedrooms (set up as doubles or twins), along with a shared bathroom, giving everyone space to relax in comfort.

A cosy, farmhouse-style kitchen comes fully equipped for easy self-catering, from a large American-style fridge-freezer to that all-important dishwasher. Gather around the dining table for breakfast chats, lazy lunches or evening nibbles and drinks.

Beyond the kitchen, an open-plan flow leads to the lounge – the true heart of the home. Sink into comfy sofas for movie nights on the Freeview TV or break out a board game as the sun sets over the marshes.

Outside, a private terrace and picnic table overlooks the tranquil Mocketts Farm duck pond – perfect for an afternoon of unwinding in the fresh air. And yes, your dog is welcome too! With a fully fenced garden and access to our two-acre dog exercise paddock*, Marsh View is fully dog-friendly.

Just five minutes’ walk away, you’ll find our award-winning Ferry House restaurant, plus access to the kitchen garden and peaceful estuary walks.

With ample parking, free WiFi, and shared access to the onsite games room, Marsh View combines rural seclusion with thoughtful touches and everyday comforts – a standout setting for unforgettable countryside stays.

What Guests Say

We found both accommodations, Marsh View and Harriers Nest, comfortable and airy. One of our party was in a wheelchair and she was able to access all the downstairs without any problems. The furniture was of good quality, not like other holiday cottages we've been to where the furniture had seen better days. The beds were comfortable and not sagging in the middle. The kitchen was well equipped, with plenty of crockery, cutlery, glasses and mugs.

Marsh View cottage is very comfortable and wheelchair friendly, with expansive views over the marshes. Marsh Harriers, Barn and Little Owls literally fly around the cottage, which is situated between two wonderful nature reserves, a haven for feathered bird watchers. Morning chorus of Marsh Frogs thriving in the picture postcard "Constable" pond around which the old farm house and cottages are grouped. Idyllic! Walks a plenty from the cottages and good for cycling too. Mocketts is a wildlife lovers' haven, a very tranquil place, the place to stay on the island - "Sheerbliss"!
